What is Blogger?
Blogger is a free web-based platform owned by Google that allows users to create and publish blogs. How to Create a Blog?
- Go to www.blogger.com.
- Click on the "Create Your Blog" button.
- Sign in to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, click "Create Account" to create one.
- Choose a Name/Title for your blog.
- Name your blog and choose a URL. Your URL will be in the format of "yourblogname.blogspot.com".
- Choose a template for your blog. You can customize the template later if you want to.
- Click "Create Blog" to create your blog.
- Start writing your first blog post.
Once you have created your blog, you can customize it by selecting a different template, adding gadgets to your sidebar, and customizing the design and layout of your blog. You can also publish posts, add images and videos, and interact with your readers through comments and social media sharing options.
How to get Content Ideas?
Are you stuck at finding a good content for your blogger?. So, here is what I did when I started this blog. I started searching for good templates or themes on Internet for blogger. I found a couple of websites that provides free templates for blogger and I started seeing the demos of the templates, after a few hours I found a template that matches my intrests and I found out what actually I can do with the template. So when you start a blog then you must see many templates where you know what to do with that templates. This thing will definitely work. You should definitely try it.

How to Change Theme or Template?
To change the theme or template of your Blogger blog, follow these steps:
- Go to www.blogger.com and sign in to your account.
- From the dashboard, click on the "Theme" option in the left-hand menu.
- Click on down arrow, you will see "Backup, Restore and more"
- Now, click on Restore and then Upload.
- Then, select the .xml theme file and click Open that downloaded from above step "How to get Content Ideas?"
- Done, You are Good to go!.
Consider Backing up the current theme. If you get a error after new theme installation then, you can restore old one.
More you need to know about Blogger.
- Blogger only supports HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- In post editor, you are only allowed to enter the content which is in the "body".
- Once you publish the post, do not change Permalink(Post Link) again and again, it may effect SEO.
- Your Content must be Unique, Valuable, atleast 400 words or above and should not be Outdated.
- If you write posts in HTML:
- You must start posts with a heading 2 or <h2> tag.
- You should not start with <h1> tag.
- In many cases, the title of the post will considered as a heading or h1 after you publish the post.
- Otherwise you will find Multiple H1 tags in SiteAudit.
- Labels:
- Labeling the post is good to organise posts in homepage and we can do wonders with Labels.
- Do not use many Labels, 2-3 are more than enough.
- Labels act as Breadcrumbs.
- It is good to Enable the Search description.
- To enable go to: Main Menu > Settings > Under Meta Tags, Turn on Search Description.
- After turning ON, below you will find a Search Description [fill it.(Blog Description)]
- In post editor, you will also find a Search Description, fill it about post in 110-150 charecters.
- A good post representation will attract more users on the Internet.
Published Your First Post?
Its time to get your post in Google Search. For this, you should index your posts in Google Search Console.
Create GSC account by following below step.Choose: Start GSC (or) What is GSC
Getting started with Google Search Console is a relatively straightforward process. Here are the steps to follow:
- Go to the Google Search Console homepage: Click here.
- Click on the "Start Now" button.
- Sign in to your Google account (if you're not already signed in).
- Enter your website URL in the field provided and click "Add Property."
- Verify ownership of your website. Google offers several ways to do this, such as uploading an HTML file to your website or adding a DNS record to your domain registrar. Follow the instructions provided by Google to verify your ownership.
- Once your website is verified, you'll be taken to the Search Console dashboard, where you can start exploring the various reports and tools.
After creating account, follow these steps:
- Go to Search Console.
- Click on Main Menu (Options) on top left corner.
- Click on "Sitemaps" under Indexing.
- Under "Add a new sitemap" it will show https://yourblogname.blogspot.com/________
- In the blank, just enter "sitemap.xml".
- After entering "sitemap.xml" it will look like..
Note: Yourblogname should be replaced with your domain name.
If your sitemap submission is successfull, you are good to go. else, you must inspect each and every post by entering every post's url in "Url inspection" or by clicking search icon and then click "REQUEST INDEXING".
Beside everything you must promote your posts in social media by sharing links to friends and family to get some reach.
